How does the Affordable Care Act affect employer-provided health insurance?

Companies have to provide a minimal amount of health insurance or face penalties. This law also requires employers to provide helath insurance to the kids of their employees until the age of 26. Also, the health insurance provided must meet other minimum standards.

It is important to recognize that noncompliance with the ACA does not provide a private right of action. Other than government investigation and resulting penalties, there is very little private legal recourse
